Missed post

I somehow missed the fact that I bought a couple books last month. Hmmmmm . . . . oh well, I've been busy so better late that never.

Air Gear volume 8
Battle Vixsons (ikkitousen) volume 13
MPD-Psycho volume 4 & 5
Pastel volume 11

I just revamped the blog to include the link for the newly added Anime section. Check it out if you get a chance. The links section will be growing over the next year to include Live Action, Novels, and Scanlation Manga. My digital manga collection has been growing for many years now but as of late it has been snow-balling. There are many reasons for this. The first would be this scenario: I buy a manga series; I like said manga series; I think to my self "I wonder what else this mangaka has done"; I do my homework and find several other works by said mangaka; I realize after much searching that no one has published them but do find scanlations of it. Some times I buy a manga, bring it home and read it and get the feeling that it sounds familiar. I search my hard drives and realize that I had downloaded it years back and had already read it. I have lots and lots of manga that I bought after it was finally released and am still waiting of many many more. I just like the feel of a physical book more than on a computer screen. The other main scenario is that I buy a manga and I really like it but . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . the next volume never comes out and I wait and wait for months and sometimes years. I go online and find that the series ended a long time ago or that it's up to volume 10 of 15 and still no second volume. Sometimes they will stall in the middle or near the end of the series. A good example recently would be "Rosario + Vampire". Volume 1 came out a while back but volume 2 never materialized so I checked online, sure enough the entire first story arc volumes 1-10 had already finished and is on volume 3 of the second season. That would be volume 13. WTF! At this rate it will be years before they finish publishing it. Why the slow release schedule? maybe some f**ked up american corporate or marketing logic. Who knows. anyway, I'm happily reading volume 6 right now and wondering whether I will remember this 10 years from now when it finally finishes.
