The cute, The cuter, and the "Is it legal to be that cute?"
I recently had a odd run of series that I was watching. Four shows in a row where the main character dies right at the end of the series for no good reason other than to make me go "WHAT?!, NOOOO!!!!". Anyway, cuteness came to the rescue. Just finished Chocotto Sister and while Choco does cease to exist in the next to the last episode....Wait, crap! make that 5 in a row. Anyway, she comes back 10 minutes later as if nothing happened so it was a happy ending. I hope the manager succeeds in penetrating Onii-chan's thick skull or finally confessing to him without interference. She deserves it with all the work she has put into getting him to notice her feelings. Oh well, maybe in season 2 or an OVA.
There is another series that was not on the previous entry because of a brain malfunction of epic magnitude. As you might or might not know, I wait till a series is completely finished before watching it. Why? Because too many series stall mid way through and finish later. There is nothing worse than getting 90% through a story, everything is getting good, the plot thickens, will she?, will he really?! . . . . . . . . . . . . . three months later . . . . . . . . . . . six months later . . . . . . . . . . Oh forget it! by that point you have to re watch it from the beginning because you have completely forgotten what was happening. There is always an exception to every rule. K-On! would be the exception to mine. I saw the first episode and was smitten. Cute does not do it justice. The OP and ED ROCK! Now what could grab my attention so? well, there is no sex, romance, violence, gore, nudity, vulgarity, or anything of the sort. What is there? 4 girls (5 now), a high school light rock band, and cuteness. Large quantities of cuteness!
